What we did

We have made a recommendation that the following offers are added to the scheme:

• A financial incentive based on the number of rooms being released, for example if you move from a 5 bedroom house to a 3 bedroom, 2 bedrooms are released
• A handy man service to customers who are less able
• Removal and disposal of items if the customer is unable to do so and the request is reasonable
• One off help with decorating or a decoration voucher
• Support with the application process and finding a home for people wanting to downsize

These will be discussed at Derby City Council Cabinet in early 2023.
